Pliny the Lounger

Inspired by the ubiquitous 'motel' chair from the 1940's, Pliny the Lounger is a timely update on this classic patio chair. Pliny was designed and manufactured by Loll Designs with Sielaff Corporation using sustainable materials. Made in the USA, this outdoor lounge chair features an elegantly mandrel-bent 1-inch tubular stainless steel frame with a seat and back made from partially recycled plastic. The chair's welded tube frame has no open ends and is a one-piece construction that will last a lifetime. The Pliny has that classic 'bounce' feel that brings the seated back to a moment in their familiar past, but the patio chairs' new roots are clearly in the present.
The Pliny is the recipient of a Good Design Award as awarded by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.
